Title: Mary, Holy Mother of God
Description: Mary, Mother of God is an oil painting of Jesus as a child, held in His Holy Mother's arms. Inspired by a statue found in my home parish (Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Carmel, Indiana), the statue's origins as well as the original sculptor are unknown.
The beauty of Mary's youth with her hair pulled under a maiden's veil inspired this reimagined piece. Despite her humble nature, as shown through her downward gaze, my version of Mary has a soft smile, as she knows the glory of the child in her arms. Jesus, Heavenly Redeemer, looks out with His right hand lifted in blessing to the world.

Paper Print (Unmatted): This is a high quality giclée print on archival paper. The print image comes in multiple sizes, each with an additional 1/2" border around the image to allow it to be installed in a frame of your choosing.
Paper Print (Matted): This is a high quality giclée print on archival paper. The print image comes in multiple sizes with an additional 1/2" border around the image. The 6" x 8" option comes in a white matting with a clean-cut beveled edge that is ready to pop into an 8" x 10" frame. The 8" x 10" option comes matted for a 11" x 16" frame. Just select a square frame from your favorite frame shop to suit your style and this print is ready to display on your wall!
Canvas Print: This is a high quality giclée print on artisan archival canvas. It is stretched and mounted on a thick (1.5") frame with archival backing. The wrapped sides are dark in color, so the full image is visible while viewing from the front. A wire hanger is also included, so the print is ready to hang in your home upon delivery!
Canvas Print (Framed): This offering includes the canvas print mentioned above and presents it in a 2" gold floater frame, which nicely accents the gold color used in the painting. This is a great option for a gift, or if you'd like a frame but want to avoid the extra step of working with a custom frame shop.
Note: The "JE" logo shown on the online image will not appear on the canvas print.
"Artist's Touch" Options: If selected, I will personally sign & embellish the print prior to it being shipped to your home to add a little extra character to your print! Embellishing is only available on canvas prints and is done with a clear acrylic medium, which adds texture to the print and mimics the brush strokes used on the original painting. This medium adds extra UV protection to your print. Note: Having the print embellished may add 1 week to your delivery lead time; however, most embellished orders ship within 48-72 hours.
